What Does the Bible Reveal About a Global Conspiracy?

Conspiracies, for the most part, are not a popular subject to be discussed in public, unless of course you want to be labeled some sort of "paranoid kook". Nevertheless, name-calling should never be a deterrent to Christians who are seeking or proclaiming the truth. After the Apostle Paul was accused of being a madman, he answered; "... I am not mad noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness." (see Acts 26:24-25) Have you ever considered searching the Scriptures to find an answer to the question of a hidden global conspiracy? The Bible instructs us to "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thess. 5:21) If the likelihood of a conspiracy can stand in the light of Scripture, the idea should be accepted as truth. If the Bible exposes the theory of a global conspiracy as being false, then the idea needs to be rejected. Whatever the outcome may be, the King James Bible is fully capable of revealing to us the truth of this, controversial, elusive and too-often-ignored, subject. Join me as we open the Scriptures ... in search of a CONSPIRACY.
Ingredients for a Conspiracy
The following definitions of the words "conspiracy" and "conspire" have been collected from three reliable modern sources.

• CONSPIRACY - an evil, unlawful plot.
• CONSPIRE - to agree together, esp. secretly, to do something wrong, evil, or illegal.

The following related words pop up in every definition of "conspiracy" and "conspire": evil, unlawful, illegal, wrong, crime, plot, plan, secretly, combine, joining and together. Unity, secrecy and evil are clearly the most common ingredients which constitute the makeup of the typical conspiracy. "Unity" indicates that conspiracies are planned by more than one person. "Secrecy" means that the conspiracies are hidden from public view and "evil" signifies that conspiracies do not have your best interests at heart. What, if anything, do the Scriptures tell us about a HIDDEN GROUP OF EVIL CONSPIRATORS?

Conspiracies & the Bible
Believe it or not, conspiracy, conspirators and conspired are all Biblical words. The word "conspiracy" is found in 10 verses, "conspired" is found in 19 verses and "conspirators" shows up only once. This grand total of 30 Bible verses at least substantiates the fact that all conspiracy "theories" are not the figment of someone's over active imagination but can have some basis in reality. The following verses are examples of where the words "conspiracy" or "conspired" are used in the Bible text:
- The sons of Israel conspire to murder Joseph. (Gen. 37:18-20)
- Absalom conspires against David. (2 Sam. 15:12)
- Baasha conspires and kills King Nadab. (1 Kgs. 15:25-27)
- Zimri conspires and murders Elah, King of Israel. (1 Kgs 16:8-10 & 16)
- Jehu conspires and kills Joram, King of Israel. (2 Kgs. 9:14&24 & 10:9)
- Jozachar and Jehozabad conspire and kill Joash, King of Judah. (2 Kgs. 12:20 & 2 Chr. 24: 25-26)
- Amaziah, King of Judah, is murdered through a conspiracy. (2 Kgs 14:19 & 2 Chr. 25:27)

Many historical examples of conspiracies are illustrated in the Scriptures without actually using the word, as the following references show:
- Simeon and Levi make plans to kill Hamor and Shechem. (Gen. 34)
- Saul conspires to murder David. (1 Sam. 18:8-29, 19:1&10-11 & 23:9)
- Joab conspires to kill Abner. (2 Sam. 3:23-30)

The Bible is filled with conspiracies. While the 24 Bible citations listed above in no way prove the existence of a world-wide hidden conspiracy of evil, these Scriptures, nevertheless, DO show that conspiracies are a NATURAL part of history. But wait, don't draw any conclusions yet, because our Bible study is not yet complete. What's been shown thus far only proves that not ALL conspiracy believers are "kooks". What about a secret GLOBAL conspiracy?

Exposing the Global Conspiracy
What makes most people uneasy and very reluctant to endorse the idea of a global conspiracy is the fact that conspiracies deal with unseen controlling forces of EVIL. In this modern climate of "positivism", to even suggest that the world may be controlled by a united group of hidden evil is enough to get the "cold shoulder" from at least 95% of professing Christianity. While modern conspiratorial groups such as the United Nations, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Club of Rome, the Builderbergers, the Bohemian Grove, the Vatican, the Masonic Lodge, the Skull & Bones Society and such like may contribute much towards the development of a NEW WORLD ORDER, these secretive (and not-so-secretive) organizations are only pawns in the elusive hands of the true conspirators. What do the Scriptures teach us about the "true conspirators"?
"For by him [Jesus Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and INVISIBLE, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him". Col. 1:16
"Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the DEVIL. For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Ephesians 6:11-12
These two verses of Scripture teach:
1.) There are invisible seats of authority called thrones, dominions, principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness.
2.) These spiritual beings are wicked and are connected with demonic DECEPTION controlled by the Devil. (Note that these forces are described as being "the wiles of the Devil".)
3.) Christians are exhorted to "stand against" these world-ruling, evil powers.
In other words, the powers which manipulate this world are invisible, evil and united under the Devil. Because Satan is the current "god of this world" (see 2 Cor. 4:4), he can delegate this authority to whomever he wishes. When the Lord Jesus Christ was driven into the wilderness to be tempted of the Devil, He was offered a part in Satan's global structure of control, with only one "string" attached. The Scriptures report:
"And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the KINGDOMS of the WORLD in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, all this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me, and to whomsoever I will, I give it. If thou therefore wilt WORSHIP ME, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." Luke 4:5-8, also see Matt. 4:8-10
If the Devil has the ability to dispense the kingdoms of this world, because they're currently in his hands, what does this reveal about those in positions of global influence and authority? Answer; "If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine." (Luke 4:7) Never be surprised if you find DEVIL WORSHIP hidden in high offices of government. Remember, it is always to the Christians advantage to be more distrustful of the world and less skeptical of the words of the Bible.

4.) After the millennial reign of Jesus Christ, Satan will be loosed from the bottomless pit to once again "deceive the nations" to gather them to war against the saints. (Rev. 20:7-9)

Human Agents of the Conspiracy
Thus far we've discussed the real existence of the INVISIBLE AGENTS of the global conspiracy, but what about the visible human agents? Are there men (or groups of men) who knowingly participate in such an evil plan? What does the Bible say?
- Jesus said; "...Take heed that no MAN deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying I am Christ; and shall deceive many." (Matt. 24:4-5 & Luke 21:8)
- The Psalmist wrote; "The KINGS of the earth set themselves, and the RULERS take counsel TOGETHER, against the Lord and against his anointed ..." (Psa. 2:2) "Hide me from the SECRET COUNSEL of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity." (Psa. 64:2)
- Paul wrote; "But evil MEN and seducers shall wax worse and worse, DECEIVING, and being deceived." (2Tim. 3:13) "For if HE that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye received another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with HIM." (2Cor. 11:4) "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2Cor. 11:13-15)
- Peter wrote; "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers AMONG YOU, who privily [secretly] shall bring in damnable heresies ... And MANY shall follow their pernicious ways..." (2Ptr. 21-2)
- John wrote; "Little children, it is the last time: and ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there MANY ANTICHRISTS; whereby we know that it is the last time." (1John 2:18)
The Bible testifies of men who purposefully deceive. The Bible testifies of secret counsels of wicked men. The Bible testifies of men who pretend to be apostles of Christ and appear as ministers of righteousness. The Bible testifies of false prophets and teachers. The Bible testifies of "many antichrists". Not only do the Scriptures teach that men KNOWINGLY COOPERATE in the conspiracy, but also that many men assist in it's advancement unaware of their own participation. This is because not only does God have spiritual "children", but the Devil does too (see Matt. 13:38, John 8:44 & 1John 3:9-10). Remember, it was the Lord Jesus Christ who stated; "For he that is not against us is on our part." (Mark 9:40) There is no "neutral ground" in this battle.

Putting It All Together

2.- These rulers of the darkness are INVISIBLE and cannot be seen by man, this makes it very convenient and easy to hide.
3.- The primary conspirator is Satan the Devil who can manifest himself as an "angel of light", thus deceiving many into believing that the Devil is actually God or an angel sent by God. One day in the not-too-distant future, the conspiracy will play itself out when the Devil will both physically and literally rule the entire world claiming to be God himself! (2Thess. 2:3-4 & Rev. 13:3-4 & 7-8)
4.- The Devil has human agents (the unsaved, spiritual children of Satan) who both knowingly and unknowingly do his work for him, therefore this unseen global conspiracy spills over into the visible world.
5.- The sin-nature of man is also constantly working against God. Even born-again Christians are currently trapped in an unregenerate physical body and have to daily contend with the cravings of their flesh. "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other; so ye cannot do the things that ye would." (Gal. 5:17)
If you're a born-again Christian, and believe in the God of the King James Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Devil, ask yourself this question: Why wouldn't there be a global conspiracy? Despite the wishful thinking of many of today's professing Christians, the subversive organizations are real and the hidden occult agents are real. Much like the Apostle Paul who was lumped-in with "madmen" after preaching the truth (see Acts 26:24-25), Bible-believing Christians should not be surprised if they are met with the same lack of convincing after showing that the Scriptures support such an unpopular idea. Yes, the word of God exposes a real global conspiracy.
In closing, what we have learned about a hidden global conspiracy is that it's not a thing of "paranoid kooks" but a DOCTRINE of the Bible! Let's summarize:

If you're a born-again Christian, and believe in the God of the King James Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Devil, ask yourself this question: Why wouldn't there be a global conspiracy? Despite the wishful thinking of many of today's professing Christians, the subversive organizations are real and the hidden occult agents are real. Much like the Apostle Paul who was lumped-in with "madmen" after preaching the truth (see Acts 26:24-25), Bible-believing Christians should not be surprised if they are met with the same lack of convincing after showing that the Scriptures support such an unpopular idea. Yes, the word of God exposes a real global conspiracy.
